Checking for linked cards

Content

The card loader (P3) is displayed while Click to Pay retrieves the customer’s cards.

THE SCREEN CONSISTS OF THESE ELEMENTS:

  1. Descriptive text Tells the customer that Click to Pay is looking for their linked cards.
  2. Animation Minimises the customer’s perception of any latency while retrieving the linked cards.

Why is this important

The card loader is an important tool to communicate to the customer that something is happening. It minimises perceived latency and is a key branding moment in the Click to Pay customer experience.

BEST PRACTICE

Technical bits

If identity validation is required, best practice is to call the following method as soon as possible after the response to identityLookup() is received:

  • initiateIdentityValidation()

Once the initiateIdentityValidation() response has been received, the customer can move to verifying their identity.
