EMVCo manages approval processes for a variety of contact and contactless acceptance devices.

IFM Level 1 Approval Process

The IFM Level 1 approval process attests the compliance of the IFM (Interface Module) to the EMV Level 1 Specification.

PCD Level 1 Approval Process

The PCD Level 1 approval process attests the compliance of the PCD (Proximity Coupling Device) to the EMV Level 1 Contactless Specification.

Contact Kernel Approval Process

The Contact Application Kernel approval process attests the compliance of the  Kernel to the EMV Specification.

Contactless Product Approval Process

The Contactless Product approval process attests the compliance of the Contactless acceptance device to the EMV specification.

ESD Evaluation Process

This administrative process is used to test Terminals for evaluation with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) resilience.
