EMVCo facilitates worldwide interoperability and acceptance of secure payment transactions. To achieve this objective, EMVCo actively engages the payment community in developing, enhancing and evolving the EMV Specifications.
The EMVCo Associates Programme (“EAP”) was established in 2010 to facilitate this engagement and enable the broader payments community to play an active role in its strategic and technical direction.
The EAP provides anyone with an interest in EMV with opportunities for dynamic and early engagement on specification development beyond those offered to the general public. Many payment community stakeholders are active participants within EMVCo’s initiatives and have a significant influence on the work efforts of the organisation.
For further information, download the EAP summary sheet.
EMVCo Associates have the opportunity to provide input and receive feedback on detailed technical and operational issues connected to the EMV Specifications and related processes.
Open to any industry stakeholder with a commercial or technical interest in monitoring the EMV Specifications, the EAP gives organisations the opportunity to interact regularly with EMVCo’s technical Working Groups, offer input to meeting agendas, submit technical contributions to EMVCo for consideration, and gain early access to draft specifications and other technical documents.
The EMVCo Board of Advisors provides EMVCo with input on strategic and business topics related to the use of the EMV Specifications.
Input from the Board of Advisors is critical to EMVCo meeting the needs of the payment industry. Associates that demonstrate an ongoing commitment to EMV deployment and interoperability may participate on EMVCo’s Board of Advisors. The Board of Advisors has the opportunity to provide EMVCo with input on strategic and business topics related to the use of the EMV Specifications, including the opportunity to communicate with EMVCo executives on EMV’s future business direction.
The standard annual fee for EMVCo Associate participation is $27,500.
EMVCo is committed to expanding engagement opportunities for payments community participants to further encourage diverse and representative input from a rapidly evolving marketplace.
