As EMV Chip Specifications have been deployed around the globe and as new EMV Specifications (such as Payment Tokenisation) have been published, the number of stakeholders interested in learning about and engaging with EMVCo has been on the rise. This positive development has increased demand for opportunities to learn more about EMV; this seminar is aimed at bringing together traditional EMV stakeholders (such as Subscribers, Associates, Vendors, and Labs) and new interested parties. Accordingly, attendees at this seminar understand that the content provided will be aimed at a broad audience and that many participants do not have formal, prior relationships with EMVCo.
To allow for such broad participation, seminar attendees agree not to discuss commercial topics, such as pricing, during the meetings, as this is not within EMVCo's scope as a global technical body. Furthermore, because presenters will discuss published versions of EMV Specifications and because EMVCo continually seeks to evolve such Specifications over time, attendees understand that they shall not discuss their respective organizations' confidential information or intellectual property (IP). Finally, attendees understand that these seminars are intended to be educational in nature and that participants' knowledge will vary greatly; accordingly, participants agree to respect the diversity of fellow attendees' perspectives, knowledge, and history with respect to the EMV Specifications.
EMVCo reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, change location, or change seminar programming as necessary at any time. If EMVCo cancels or reschedules the date of a seminar, or if EMVCo changes the location of a seminar by more than 300 kilometers (186 miles), within ninety (90) days of the date of the seminar, then a registrant may obtain a refund from EMVCo upon request. Refund requests must be received within seven (7) days after the originally scheduled date of the seminar. EMVCo will not be responsible for registrant's costs or losses incurred as a result of such cancellation, rescheduling or change. Registrations for a seminar are transferrable from one individual to another upon reasonable notice to EMVCo.
