EMVCo members worked jointly over the last few years to develop specifications that define a set of requirements to ensure interoperability between chip cards and terminals on a global basis, regardless of the manufacturer, the financial institution, or where the card is used.

The latest version of the contact chip specifications entitled 'Integrated Circuit Card Specifications for Payment Systems' is version 4.3. It includes all version 4.2 related Application Notes, Specification Update Bulletins and Specification Bulletins posted on the EMVCo website up to and including November 2011.

You can navigate across the sub-menu pages to view and/or download specification documents

Please check the Specifications Bulletins section for specification updates.

Notice Bulletins such as the annual key length review can be found here.
