Printed EMV 4.2 Specifications Webpage Offering

For your convenience, the printed EMV 4.2 Specifications is a set of four spiral-bound books in a smaller book format.   Measuring 8 ½ inches by 6 inches, the books are suitable for easy reference and can easily be packed in a suitcase.  The set of four spiral-bound books, stacked together, measure 1 7/8 inches in height and weigh under 3 pounds.   

A set of the EMV books (Book 1, 2, 3 and 4) is offered at the nominal price of $275.00 USD, shipping and handling included.

Book 1:  Application Independent ICC to Terminal Interface Requirements
This specification describes the minimum functionality required for integrated circuit cards (ICC) and terminals to ensure correct operation and interoperability independent of the application to be used.

Book 2:   Security and Key Management
This specification describes the minimum security functionality required for intergrated circuit cards (ICC) and terminals to ensure correct operation and interoperability. Additional requirements and recommendations are provided with respect to the on-line communication between ICC and issuer and the management of cryptographic keys at terminals, issuer and payment system level.        

Book 3:  Application Specification
This specification defines the terminal and integrated circuit card (ICC) procedures necessary to effect a payment system transaction in an international interchange environment.

Book 4:  Cardholder, Attendant, and Acquirer Interface Requirements
This specification defines the mandatory, recommended, and optional terminal requirements necessary to support the acceptance of integrated circuit cards (ICC) in accordance with the Application Independent ICC to Terminal Interface Requirements (Book 1), the Security and Key Management (Book 2), and the Application Specification (Book 3).
